1. Blaidd The Half Wolf Tattoo

Half man, half wolf, This Elden Ring Tattoo is of Blaidd, an NPC you can find in the Mistwood Ruins.

Created by Ranni’s own Two Fingers, Blaidd was created as a vassal to the Lunar Princess.

While he is seemingly incapable of betraying Ranni, the Two Fingers, unbeknownst to Blaidd, created a failsafe in which, if she ever denies her destiny set out by the Greater Will, will drive Blaidd into madness, posing a threat to Ranni herself. 

2. The First Vicar Tattoo

First for our Bloodborne Tattoos, Laurence, the First Vicar, was the founder of the Healing Church, which sought to use Old Blood for medicinal purposes.

Laurence is responsible for the use of blood ministration that led to the Beast Scourge in Yharnham, with Larence becoming one of the cleric Beasts himself. 

3. Mergo’s Wet Nurse Tattoo

Mergo’s Wet Nurse guards the infant Mergo, the source of the Nightmare Mensis.

Mergo’s Wet Nurse is suspected to be a Great One, has six arms, and is capable of creating copies of itself and teleporting.

If you use the tiny music box during the confrontation, it will make the beast take a step back as if recoiling, similar to Father Gascoigne, suggesting there may be a connection between the two.  

4. Fume Knight Raime Tattoo

Fume Knight Raime was one of Dragenlic’s most distinguished Knights who used his favorite Black Raven as his sigil.

After leaving the Dragenlic behind, he devoted his loyalty to Nadalia, who gave him a new purpose.

According to statistics from FromSoftware, Fume Knight Raime was the hardest boss from Dark Souls II, with a 93% failure rate. 

5. Mimic Dark Souls Tattoo

Mimics are an enemy that appears in each of the Dark Souls games.

Mimics take the form of a chest and wait until a victim attempts to open it.

Once approached, the Mimic springs into action, grabbing hold of and chomping down on the unfortunate person unlucky enough to approach.  

6. Maliketh The Black Blade Tattoo

Found in the Crumbling Farum Azula, this Video Game Tattoo is of Maliketh The Black Blade.

Maliketh is the half-brother and Shadowbound Beast of Queen Marika the Eternal, the vessel of the Elden Ring.

Having defeated the Gloom-Eyed Queen, Maliketh sealed away the Rune of Death by binding it within his blade.

However, after Ranni the Witch stole a piece of the Rune of Death, Maliketh bound the blade with the Rune inside into his own flesh, transforming him into Gurranq. 

7. Elemer Of The Briar Tattoo

Also known as the Bell Bearing Hunter, Elemer wears an iron mask adorned with thorns, a symbol of one sentenced to death.

Elemer survived his execution and acquired the name ‘Bell Bering Hunter’ by killing merchants and instructors and taking their Bell Bearings. 

8. Basin Of Vows Dark Souls Tattoo

The Basin of Vows is a game item within Dark Souls III.

The chalice is used in an old ceremony in which Lothric Knights take their vows.

9. Iron Fist Alexander Tattoo

Another Elden Ring Tattoo, this time of the greatest character of all Soulsborne games, Alexander.

Alexander is a Living Jar, animate jars brought to life through magic, human flesh, and blood.

Alexander set out in search of adventure and to become a mighty warrior.

Players can first find Alexander stuck in the mud and by hitting him a few times on the back, can set him free. 

10. Bloodborne Lamp Tattoo

This Bloodborne Tattoo is of a Lamp, the streetlight structures surrounded by Gatekeeper Messengers that are the checkpoint mechanics and means of travel around the world of Bloodborne.

11. Moon Presence Tattoo

The Moon Presence is the final antagonist of Bloodborne.

A mysterious being composed of human flesh and bone, the Moon Presence bound Gerham to the Hunter’s Dream with the intent of using Hunters to kill the other Great Ones for its own desires.

If the Hunter defeats Gerham, the Moon Presence will attempt to bind the player character to the Hunters Dream, however, if you have consumed 3 of the one-third umbilical cords, you can battle the beast and defeat it for good. 

12. Penetrator Demon’s Soul Tattoo

First for our Demon’s Souls Tattoo, the Penetrator, also known as Metas, was a member of King Allant's circle of elite knights.

When the Demons were unleashed across Boletaria, Metas defended the Boletarian palace to protect King Allant.

Unbeknownst to him, the King Allant he was protecting was, in fact, an imposter copycat demon.

Eventually, Metas would himself become corrupted, turning into the demon known as the Penetrator.

13. Sekiro Tattoo

Wolf is the main protagonist of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

A Shinobi serving the Divine Heir, Kuro, Wolf loses his arm against the Ashina clan leader, Genichiro Ashina.

Close to death, the Divine Heir Kuro gave him his oath-bound immortality, allowing Sekiro to survive.

Sekiro gets his name from the Tengu of Ashina, combining (隻) "seki" (one arm) and (狼) "ro" (wolf).

14. Amygdala Tattoo

Amygdala, one of the Great Ones, is revered due to the numerous statues of it in the Cathedral Ward and in the unseen village of Yahar'gul.

Patches, a recurring character throughout Soulsborne gameography, appears to be one of the most devoted of Amygdala's worshippers, offering sacrifices to his "God" through the use of the Tonsil Stone.

15. Darkeater Midir Tattoo

This Black Dragon Tattoo is of Darkeater Midir, the four-winged Dragon who serves as one of the guardians of the Ringed City.

Midir was raised by the Gods to battle against the Abyss and its enemies.

However, after spending years fighting, Midir has become corrupted, and now Shira requests the Ashen One to slay Midir before he becomes fully consumed by the Abyss. 

16. The Hunter Bloodborne Tattoo

The Hunter is the playable character from the Bloodborne game.

While the game's marketing showcases the Hunter as a male with a bandana covering his face and other accessories, the character is customizable for each player in the game, including their background.

At some point in their lives, the Hunter becomes aware of the Paleblood and sets out to Yharnam to ‘transcend the hunt.’ 

17. Erdtree Tattoo

This Tree of Life Tattoo, is of the Erdtree, a giant golden tree that symbolizes the Elden Ring’s presence.

It is the source of the Golden Order's power and legitimacy, providing grace to the inhabitants of the Lands Between.

18. Malenia Blade of Miquella Tattoo

This Elden Ring Tattoo is of Malenia Blade of Miquella.

One of the most popular bosses from the game and Soulsborne as a whole, who brought fame to players such as ‘Let me solo her’ a staple of Elden Ring's community known for joining games as a summon to challenge Malenia alone (hence the name), in nothing more than a fundoshi and a pot on his head.

I was hoping to find a tattoo of Let Me Solo Her, alas, to my knowledge, none seem to exist (for now).

19. Siegward of Catarina

Siegward of Catrina is a knight who swears allegiance to an unidentified order of warriors.

Siegward will occasionally assist the player through parts of the game but be wary as it is possible for him to die permanently if not taken care of.

Siegward is the father of Sieglinde, another NPC, and he is also based on Siegmeyer of Catarina, a jolly yet bumbling Knight from the first Dark Souls. 

20. Demon Of Hatred Tattoo

Another Sekiro Tattoo, this time of the Demon of Hatred, the vessel for the flames of hatred of a man who failed to become Shura.

The demon prowls the battlefield, consumed by flames of deepest resentment.

Right before being slain, a voice speaks to Wolf, thanking him for putting an end to the rampage. 

21. Darksouls Bonfire Tattoo

One of the most iconic images from the Dark Souls series, bonfires are the checkpoint system throughout each of the Dark Souls games.

Resting at a bonfire will respawn all the enemies in the area and can also be used to level up, upgrade in-game attributes, repair gear, and fast travel.

Bonfires are so iconic that they have made appearances as Easter Eggs in other games, such as Fallout 4, Overwatch, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and many more. 

22. Ranni The Witch Tattoo

Ranni the Witch or Lunar Princess Ranni is one of the Demigods in the world of Elden Ring.

Ranni was an Empyrean capable of succeeding Queen Marika as the ruler of The Lands Between.

During the Night of Black Knives, Ranni transferred her spirit into a doll in the figure of her mentor, the Snow Witch.

If the Tarnished grants Ranni the Elden Ring, she plans to succeed Queen Marika and travel into the cosmos, allowing its inhabitants to have free will over their own choices and live their lives without the interference of the Greater Will.

23. Dancer Of The Boreal Valley

A descendant of Gwynevere, Princess of Sunlight, this Dark Souls Tattoo is of the Dancer of the Boreal Valley.

After Sulyvahn imprisoned Dark Sun Gwyndolin, he gifted a set of enchanted swords to the Dancer as a symbol of her subjection.

After the kingdom fell into ruin, Sulyvahn ordered the Dancer to serve as a Boreal Outrider Knight and gave her an eye ring of the Pontiff,  transforming her into a savage, raving warrior who only knew how to serve him as a mindless guard.

24. Ludwig Bloodborne Tattoo

Ludwig was the first cleric of the Healing Church.

Under his leadership, the church gained many Hunters trained to be honorable Spartans and even trained ordinary Yharnamites to unite the populace to combat the scourge. 

Ludwig would succumb to the bloodlust, transforming him into a monstrous beast and trapping him within the Hunter’s Dream, where, through killing countless beasts and hunters in his blind rage, created the blood river that flows through the Nightmare.

25. Wheel Skeleton Tattoo

Inspired by the wheel skeletons from the Manga Berserk, the Dark Souls variation of these beasts is widely considered one of the most annoying enemies in the game.

The original Berserk variant was the reincarnated remains of those who attacked Father Mozgus’ Wagon, who used the wheels as a torture device. 

26. Starscourge Radan Tattoo

Another of Elden Ring's most popular boss fights, Starscourge Radan is one of the mightiest Demigods who fought Malenia to a standstill during the Shattering. Infected by the Scarlet Rot, Radan was driven mad into a constant state of rage.

Now, he wanders the Wailing Dunes mindlessly, devouring the flesh of friend and foe alike.

27. Vicar Amelia Tattoo

Vicar Amelia was a high-ranking member of the Healing Church and successor of Laurence.

Unlike the Beast Patients, who slowly turn into monsters, Amelia abruptly mutates into a monster.

Now a Cleric Beast, she used the Golden pendant passed down to her to channel energy in order to start healing her wounds similarly to the Hunter Tool. 

28. Midra Lord Of The Frenzied Flame Tattoo

This Elden Ring Tattoo is done by asterion.ttt who does a lot of incredible Dark Souls Tattoos.

Midra is the embodiment of the Frenzied Flame, who sought to become a Lord of Frenzied Flame but failed by being too weak. 

29. Guardian Ape Sekiro Tattoo

An immortal beast who protects the Lotus of the Palace, the Guardian Ape carefully tends to the flower, hoping to offer it a mate.

After defeating the Guardian Ape by slicing off its head, the beast will re-animate using the sword used to decapitate it in one arm and his head in the other.

To fully defeat the beast, Wolf must pull a centipede from its neck stump that it is infested with and grants it its immortality, then kill it to put the ape down for good.

30. Soul Of Cinder Dark Souls Tattoo

The Soul of Cinder is the final boss of Dark Souls III.

The Soul of Cinder is the manifestation of the souls of all those who have linked themselves to the First Flame.

It acts as the flames' last line of defense, protecting and preventing anyone attempting to link it again.

31. Solaire Of Astora

Solaire is a Warrior of Sunlight on a mission to find "his very own sun."

He is incredibly loyal to his faith, painting all the holy symbols on his equipment by himself.

When Solaire goes to Lost Izalith, he encounters a Sunlight Maggot and is driven to madness, attacking the Chosen Undead. 

32. Hunter’s Mark Tattoo

The Hunter’s Mark is a consumable item within Bloodborne.

It allows the Hunter to reawaken at the expense of your held Blood Echoes. 

The Hunter’s mark is heavily inspired by the Brand of Sacrifice from the Berserk manga, a mark placed on those who are marked as a sacrificial offering to the God Hand.

33. Moonlight Great Sword Tattoo

The Moonlight Greatsword is a recurring weapon in the Soulsborne series and other games created by FromSoftware.

It's known for its iconic design and special magical properties.

It is one of the four Dragon weapons that has a parameter bonus and has appeared in every From Software game since King's Field.

34. Dragon Slayer Ornstein

Dragon Slayer Ornstein was one of the knights at the service of Lord of Sunlight who took part in his Lord's war against the Dragons.

His weapons and armor were imbued with the power of lightning to be more effective against the Dragons.

After centuries of waiting for the Chosen Undead without success, Ornstein left the cathedral he guarded with Executioner Smough in search of the Nameless King.

It is possible that the Ornstein faced by the Chosen Undead in Dark Souls is merely a golem animated by its powerful soul.

35. Sif The Great Grey Wolf Tattoo

Sif is the wolf companion of Sir Artorias, the Abysswalker.

After his death, Sif became the guardian of his grave to prevent others from meeting the same fate as his former master.

If the player saves young Sif after being sent back in time, upon starting the battle, he recognizes the player's character but will stay true to his oath and commence in battle. 

36. Sister Friede Dark Souls Tattoo

The eldest of three sisters who entered into the service of the Primordial Serpent Darkstalker Kaathe, Elfriede became the maiden of Kaathe, learning the art of the Dark Hand from the Primordial Serpent.

This Bloodborne Tattoo is of one of the Great Ones, the Orphan of Kos.

The Orphan is the offspring of the deceased Great One Kos and takes the shape of a tall humanoid.

Once defeated, the Orphan’s spirit will linger with the corpse of the mother until slain.

Doing so will make a voice declare with relief that the child has returned to the ocean, implying that the orphan has returned to life on earth or that killing it frees it to traverse the cosmos.

38. Divine Dragon Tattoo

This White Dragon Tattoo is of the Divine Dragon. Starting off by facing the Old Dragons of the Tree, the boss fight second faze has you fighting the Divine Dragon, an ancient god said to have come from the west long ago.

Wielding a giant magical sword, the Dragon has control over winds using them to push back Wolf. 

39. Elden Ring Tattoo

The Elden Ring is a concept that defines the world within the Elden Ring gameworld itself.

The Elden Ring is the source of the Erdtree and is a series of interlocking Runes that are a representation of the law of the world.

Astel is a malformed star that was born in a flightless void far away.

Astel destroyed one of the Eternal Cities and wiped out their sky, possibly being the Nameless City found in the Deeproot Depths.

41. Miriel, Pastor of Vows Tattoo

Miriel, Pastor of Vows, is the steward of the Church of Vows in eastern Liurnia of the Lakes.

Appearing as a gigantic Tortoise, he is knowledgeable in both sorceries and incantations and willing to help the player learn new skills for a fee. 

42. Black Knight Assassin Tattoo

The Black Knight Assassins are a group of all-female warriors who are responsible for the murder of Godwyn the Golden on the Night of Black Knives.

Aided by Ranni the Witch, their blades were imbued with the power of death and used Concealing Veils to hide their presence, rendering them effectively invisible.

While the hand may be one of the coolest places to get your Dark Souls Tattoo, Hand Tattoos do tend to be quite painful.

This is due to the hand having thin skin as well as having a lot of tendons and a close proximity to the bone.
